We got our first puppy bitch in February 2003, from breeder Isobel Godfrey in Sunderland. Although her pet name was Jura her kennel name was Cotonbells Star of Gigha at Cotonalba and she had her moments of fame during her showing life. Her biggest starring role was in the BBC film that was made in preparation for the Breed to appear at Crufts for the very first time in 2006. The extract from the programme can be found here.
She had many successes being the very last Best of Breed (Import Register) in January 2006. She was Top Brood bitch that year based on the successes of her puppies. Subsequently, she was Best Veteran at successive Breed Shows in 2010 and was Best Veteran at Crufts in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Sadly, she passed away just before her 15th birthday following a very serious injury to her spine.
